Living the Safety Imperative

After 12 years of operation and over 80,000 flight hours, AirSprint is very proud of our exceptional safety track record. Our commitment to continuous improvement ensures we remain diligent, looking at each flight as an opportunity for ever improving levels of safety. The foundations for these improvements are:

Technology. The Citation CJ2+ is legendary for comfort, robust design and docile handling characteristics. In the CJ2+ these qualities are combined with the latest in jet engine technology and flight guidance systems. These are the latest generation of business aircraft.

Standardization. The company`s pursuit of safety focuses on a highly disciplined approach to process and procedure. It is only through stable, repeatable procedures that we can consistently attain our customer service and safety objectives.

Safety Management System (SMS). Highly standardized operations need a "system to improve the system". This is the purpose of the company’s SMS. Opportunities for improvement are identified through a non-punitive reporting system, where front-line personnel report incidents and errors. In addition, AirSprint relies on extensive internal audits and Quality Assurance (QA) programs.

Training. Flying a jet aircraft is a high performance task. Accordingly, our belief is that training should be constant and rigorous. Our pilot training programs exceed regulatory requirements and are a combination of company instruction, Flight Safety Ground School and flight simulation.

Culture. A company's safety culture is one of the most important aspects of its ability to maintain safe operations. We strive for a safe culture that maintains the delicate balance between our confidence in the ability of our people and aircraft to complete their missions, while remaining constantly vigilant in assessing and responding to risk.

Aircraft Maintenance. AirSprint operates under the commercial standards set out in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and our aircraft are maintained by professionally trained aircraft engineers in accordance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and government standards. In addition, the interiors of our aircraft are impeccably maintained throughout their life in the program.
