Judson Macor completed his Private Pilot's License in 1985 and his Canadian Commercial Pilot's License soon thereafter. He then received a B.Sc. Degree with honours in Aeronautics in 1989 and spent several years flying in the Northwest Territories, Quebec, and Manitoba. Judson became a Chief Pilot at 25 leading 15 planes and 23 pilots. Unfortunately, Judson lost his Aviation Medical due to a leg injury. Judson decided to return to school and earned a combined MBA/LLB degree and articled working with the international firm of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. He left the firm in 1999 to start AirSprint Inc. with MBA/LLB friend Phil Dewsnap. Judson is the CEO and Chairman of AirSprint and has grown his business from inception to a National Company employing over 100 employees and operating over 20 aircraft.
Mike Knapp is one of the Owners of AirSprint and was responsible for the initial growth of AirSprint Eastern Canadian business. In addition, Mike assisted in all legal matters during the inception and setup of AirSprint. Mike's formal education consists of a B.Comm from the University of Toronto (with Distinction) and an LLB from the University of Alberta. Prior to joining AirSprint full time, Mike articled and became a partner at the law firm Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP where he was a corporate lawyer specializing in business transactions including aircraft related matters. Mike's responsibilities include client relations, business development and all legal matters.
Chris Richer obtained an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business in 2007. He joined AirSprint as the Director, Business Development for Western Canada in 2008. Prior to working at AirSprint he spent 10 years working in both the Construction and Environmental industries at the Executive Management level, with his focuses on Marketing, Business Development, and Finance.
James Elian has a Diploma in Aviation Technology from Selkirk College and an MBA from the University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business. James started with AirSprint in 2001 as a Pilatus PC12 First Officer and since then has held various positions including; Health & Safety Chairman, Training Captain, Ground School Instructor, Flight Coordination Manager, Chief Pilot, and Special Projects Manager. As Vice President, Operations, James is responsible for AirSprint’s Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Flight Coordination and is currently qualified as Captain on the Citation XL/S jets. James has an Airline Transport Pilot License, over 4,000 hours of flying experience, and is also holding the position of Director, Flight Operations which is directly responsible for the safety, efficiency, and client experience of AirSprint flights.
Phil Dewsnap has been with the company since its inception. Phil's formal education consists of an Honours BA from the University of Guelph and a combined LLB/MBA from the University of Alberta. Phil holds a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot's License. Prior to AirSprint, Phil obtained more than 20 years of aviation experience, including flying experience for a contractor to the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. Phil is responsible for managing the AirSprint Safety Management System. Phil is also qualified as a Citation XL/S Captain at AirSprint.
Silvana Caberlin graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1991 and obtained her C.A. in 1994. Silvana has worked in the aviation, not-for-profit, manufacturing, and public sectors and has extensive experience in finance and accounting with skills including strategic planning, financial modeling, and developing operating budgets for new and rapidly expanding businesses. She has been with AirSprint since 2008.
