This Summer, Explore Eastern Canada On-Board Your Private Jet

 by Matt Beauchamp

The arrival of Summer means long, sun-filled, days that present the perfect opportunity to get out and explore our great country. From the beautiful shores of Victoria, to the warm hospitality of the east coast, there’s lots to explore – you can even leave Canada without leaving Canada.
As an AirSprint Owner the possibilities are endless. Here are a couple more great Canadian destinations to checkout this summer: Québec City and Halifax.

Québec City

Québec City’s cobbled streets are home to welcoming people and French-Canadian culture that makes travelling there well worth it. The Old City is ripe with history and gorgeous old-world architecture that you can enjoy from a local café or restaurant.
Non-stop flight times to Québec City range from 4:35 from Victoria, BC; 4:33 from Vancouver, BC; 4:12 from Kelowna, BC; 3:46 from Calgary, AB and 1:06 from New York, meaning it’s easy for AirSprint Owners across the country to explore all that the capital of La Belle Provence has to offer.
Where to Stay
This gorgeous castle is ideally located inside the walls of Old Québec. This iconic building has just recently undergone a multimillion-dollar renaissance project that they hope will reposition it as one of the world’s leading hotels. With the goal of blending the charm of the building’s past with modern innovations, Fairmont has hoped to create a fresh and seductive lure with the hotel’s rich history.
This enchanted property provides you the pinnacle of luxury with breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River while surrounded by the Old City – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Hotel Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu
Located just outside Québec City, Le Manoir Richelieu is the perfect getaway. Opened in 1899, Le Manoir Richelieu is perched high on the cliffs overlooking the St. Lawrence River and offers guests countless things to do. From its 27-hole golf course, to tennis, hiking and whale watching in the summer to snowmobiling and skiing at the nearby resorts in the winter, the possibilities are endless.
Where to Eat
Laurie Raphaël
Opened in 1991, Laurie Raphaël is run by a bona fide star in the Québec culinary scene. Chef Daniel Vézina has written six cookbooks, co-hosts a radio program On n’est pas sortie de l’auberge and has returned for Radio-Canada’s TV reality cooking show Les Chefs! Despite that, Laurie Raphaël tends to fly under the radar. Something that can only be attested to it’s longevity and continued excellence.
The restaurant itself offers an intimate fine dining experience where the customer is always at the centre.
What to Do
Club de Golf La Tempête
Designed by international golf architects Darrel and Warren Huam, Golf La Tempête is a semi-private club that opened its doors in 2005. They have hosted two successful international competitions and have also begun construction on a second 18 holes.
Visit Old Québec
This UNESCO World Heritage Site has many gorgeous views that you can see while walking along the fortified walls surround the site. Notable stops include the Petit-Champlain District, Place Royale, the Plains of Abraham and what has been called the ‘most photographed hotel on the planet,’ Château Frontenac.

Where to Stay
Prince George Hotel
Based in the heart of downtown Halifax, the Prince George Hotel gives you sophistication and charm. This luxury stay offers Four Diamond service and easy access to everything that Halifax has to offer.
Where to Eat

You can be forgiven for thinking Edna Restaurant is named after a person. Edna is actually an acronym for “Eat, Drink, Nourish, Always.” Located in North End Halifax this restaurant provides a casual environment. They’re best known for their local, fresh seafood and have been showered with accolades over the years including: Ranked number 49 in Canada’s best restaurants, Nova Scotis’s 25 Best local eateries, The Culture Trip’s 10 restaurants to try in Halifax and the Gold Winner in the Coast’s Best of Halifax Readers’ Choice Awards.
What to Do
Halifax is chalked full of things to do. From the hilltop view of the Citadel Hill to visiting Lunenburg, home of the Bluenose II – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Peggy’s Cove is a must visit as one of the most popular destinations in Atlantic Canada and offers you an idyllic fishing village with an iconic red and white lighthouse.
You can also take in an Alexander Keith Brewery Tour and see where one of Canada’s best beer brands is made.
Summer is the perfect time to take your family for an adventure around Canada. Whether you’re exploring the Old Town in Québec City or exploring the shores of Peggy’s Cove in Halifax, your AirSprint private jet is ready to take you wherever you’d like to go.
