AIRSPRINT IS TRAILBLAZING AS A PRIVATE OPERATOR WITH ITS PLANNING FOR ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE OPERATIONS.
We’re dedicated to getting you where you want to go. We're dedicated to getting you there quickly and smoothly. But most of all, we're dedicated to getting you there safely. Moreover, this steadfast dedication reaches even further to our understanding and acknowledgment of aviation’s environmental responsibilities. We have chosen to be in the foreground of these discussions and initiatives.
At AirSprint, we have an active Emissions & Fuel Reduction Workgroup; who strategize, educate and provide recommendations as we continue to lead the way in promoting environmentally responsible operations. We have instituted policies and procedures that impact our operations by either improving efficiency or reducing fuel burn. The measures we have taken fall in the following categories; aircraft modifications/maintenance, aircraft operation, and ground equipment operations.

Our Record Of Achievement
Private aviation has established an excellent record of consistently improving fuel efficiency, delivering 40% improvement over the past 40 years. Private aviation’s global CO2 emissions are approximately 2% of all aviation and .04% of global man-made carbon emissions. At AirSprint, our aircraft are operated for specific missions and fly efficient, direct routes between airports. Our modern navigation equipment, combined with engine design and operational best practices, provide for ever-improving fuel efficiency and reduced GHG emissions.

CORSIA Program
AirSprint has voluntarily joined the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) program as a reporting operator and have accurately tracked our emissions since 2017. Most Canadian operators similar to us, only submit a report to Transport Canada demonstrating that they are exempt. Although AirSprint too is exempt from participating in CORSIA, we are reporting and actively following the initiatives being introduced by the global leadership as we adopt a carbon offsetting scheme for aviation.
Under CORSIA, the global aviation industry has taken leadership on climate change, with a robust plan to reduce CO2 emissions based on a comprehensive set of goals. After 2020*, all technological, infrastructure and operational efficiency measures of the industry will complement CORSIA. AirSprint is well-prepared for the timelines in CORSIA, and we are fully reporting and working on a carbon offset scheme whereby carbon credit purchase is used to carbon neutralize our flight activity.
