A Private Jet at the end of the Rainbow, just in time for St. Patrick's Day

 by Matt Beauchamp

St. Patrick’s Day has been celebrated for hundreds of years and has grown in popularity every year. From wearing green, to enjoying all things Irish, St. Patrick’s Day is a great way to spend time with friends. If you are lucky, your private jet is part of the festivities.
As an AirSprint Owner, access to your private jet means you can experience St. Patrick’s Day in some of the most world-renowned celebrations. From Chicago, to Montreal to Dublin your jet will be able to provide convenient access to your desired festivities. The convenience of hassle-free private jet travel means that you no longer have to leave your itineraries off to chance.
Montréal, Quebec
There might be no bigger St. Patrick’s Day celebration outside of Ireland than Montreal’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade (AKA Défilé de la Saint Patrick). Hosted every year since 1824 (in fact some historians note that it has been celebrated since 1759, just not in parade format), this event boasts over 500,000 attendees that line Rue Ste. Catherine to Phillips Square.
Several pubs within the area open at breakfast for a meal and Irish coffee, or you can stay at a hotel along the route allowing you the perfect view all from the comfort of your pyjamas.
Once the parade is over there are a number of street festivals, performers and community events that run congruently to the parade. Additionally, there are many bars within walking distance that are packed to the brim with revellers.
Chicago, Illinois
Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day parade celebration has become iconic because of the annual dying of the Chicago River. Every year the river gets turned to green the morning of the parade. For more than 50 years this has become an event in-and-of itself and you can find a ton of great viewing areas – like a bar, aptly named Raised – to watch city officials as they dye the river green.
Chicago is also famous for having not one but two St. Patrick’s Day Parades. One on the south side and one on the north side. These duelling parades are both well attended and allow visitors to choose between the more neighbourhood oriented south side parade or the downtown north side parade.
Both parades are followed up by a number of festivals – including the Irish-American Society which hosts an annual festival that includes everything Irish from food and drink, to dancing and music – as well as ample bars serving Guinness and corn beefed sandwiches.
Dublin, Ireland
Of course, there is no St. Patrick’s Day like the ones celebrated in the home of the Irish, Dublin.  AirSprint Owners enjoy convenient access to Dublin, and many other Irish cities on board their Legacy 450.
The journey includes a quick stop in Goose Bay, Newfoundland (it can also be St. John’s or Gander depending on the weather). From there you fly straight into Dublin with a time of just over 4 hours. Once your private jet lands in Dublin, there is tons to see and do, especially in the days surrounding St. Patrick’s Day.
The St. Patrick’s Festival runs from March 14-18 and welcomes hundreds of thousands of people to come celebrate Irish culture in Dublin. From festivals to parades, to community events and parties, the festival takes over Dublin for 5 days. If you are looking to secure a special spot to view the Festival Parade on Sunday, you can join the wait list to purchase a Grandstand/Lunch Hospitality Package. You will be able to catch the action on Westmoreland Street which offers a vantage viewing of the Parade. Following the Parade you will enjoy a celebratory lunch at the opulent setting of the Westin Hotel.
With the festival running for 4 days, it means you don’t need to pack everything in, in one day. You can spread it out and make sure you get to see and enjoy everything.
You can take the time to explore the rest of Ireland and bask in its natural beauty, it’s history and – let’s not forget – some of the world’s best golf courses. From Dublin, your jet can have you in Galway, Cork, Limerick or Waterford in about 20 and 30 minutes. Your private jet makes exploring the country easier than ever.
St. Patrick’s Day City hopping on-board your Private Jet
With access to your private jet, you are able to experience St. Patrick’s Day like never before. With the right amount of planning, you could do a little time-travelling on-board your jet and get to enjoy your favourite Irish beverage in some of the world’s top St. Patrick’s Day cities.
After spending some time enjoying the pre-parade festivities in Dublin, you can hop board your jet back to North America on Friday or Saturday night. After catching some well-deserved during your short 5-hour flight, you will make a quick stop in Goose Bay, Newfoundland. From there, you can enjoy some pre-parade activities in Montreal (2hr flight from Goosebay). Finally ending your St. Patrick’s adventure catching the parade in Chicago (2hr flight from Montréal).
Whether you choose to take in St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago, Montreal or Ireland (or attempt to do all three!) your AirSprint jet is always there to provide you with endless travel opportunities. This St. Patricks Day, there may be a pot o’gold, or private jet at the end of the rainbow.
