PRESS RELEASE: TORONTO, ONTARIO
AirSprint Inc., the Canadian authority in Fractional Jet Ownership, is pleased to announce it was selected to appear in a new publication entitled Monarchy and Democracy: A History of Leadership, an official History of Parliament project. Published in partnership with St. James's House, an imprint of the SJH Group, the landmark book was officially launched on June 9, 2026, on the grounds of Westminster Abbey in London, UK.
Written by a team of prominent academics and award-winning authors, including royal experts Robert Jobson, Russell Myers and Katie Nicholl, this beautifully presented hardback explores the evolving roles of Crown and Parliament in the leadership of the UK and the Commonwealth. Tracing back to the origins and impact of one of the most significant pieces of legislation in British history, the Act of Settlement 1701, the book goes on to document the shifts in power past and present, culminating in the transformative political and social changes of the past 100 years.
“AirSprint is honoured to participate in this project as it provides a unique opportunity to reflect on leadership, long-term thinking, and the importance of strong organizational stewardship in building sustainable companies,” said Judson Macor, Founder & Chairman of AirSprint. “These themes align closely with how we operate and how we continue to grow as a Canadian company.”
Dr. Jennifer Davey, Director at the History of Parliament Trust, said, “The book not only explores the history and evolution of UK and Commonwealth governance and the shift to a constitutional monarchy, but also profiles a selection of organizations invited to join the project based on their relevance to the themes of leadership, innovation, sustainability and governance.”
“Through in-depth interviews with the leaders of organizations such as AirSprint, and by spotlighting their work, Monarchy and Democracy provides a compelling, first-hand perspective on how today’s organizational leaders are shaping the future in a wide range of areas, including governance, education, charitable work, enterprise and industry,” said Stephen van der Merwe, a Group Director at the SJH Group.
The publication’s launch was attended by more than 300 senior figures from the UK’s leading media organizations and included a celebration of the life of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. “This is a wonderful opportunity to honour Queen Elizabeth II and the historic contribution she made to the nation and the Commonwealth,” says Robert Jobson, deputy chair of the London Press Club. “Hers was a remarkable life, one that continues to inspire generations around the world.”
Monarchy and Democracy will be distributed to key figures and institutions across the United Kingdom, Europe and the Commonwealth, including members of the House of Commons and House of Lords, government departments and agencies, parliamentary offices, universities, colleges and schools. In addition to reaching individual readers, copies will be placed within academic and governmental institutions, where they will remain available as a reference for those interested in leadership, governance and public affairs.
AirSprint is proud to be included in this publication and to stand alongside organizations contributing to the broader dialogue on leadership and long-term organizational strength.
